Hi everyone!

I am a self taught artist and I do traditional art portraits. Here is my latest drawing I did today, this took me about 5 hours to complete.

This is of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott from Scream 2.

I used Bristol paper, a 4B mechanical pencil, a 2H mechanical pencil and blending stumps. 

 

I plan on posting more artwork as I get it done. I also post all my art on Instagram, I go by [REMOVED] on there if you want to support my art there too. :)

It took me maybe 5 hours. The hair takes me the longest since I do one stroke of the pencil at a time. Shading it in just straight horizontally or vertically doesn't add that realness of the way the hair flows. I then use an eraser to add the highlights on the hair. It takes me maybe a third of the time to do hair on my portraits.
