A few weeks ago I (23f) accidentally overdosed on fentanyl. I am not an addict but was struggling with opiates for a couple of months before this happened. Thought it was a regular pain pill. Boyfriend found me totally unresponsive, didn’t know if I was breathing or what was going to happen. Paramedics came, I was admitted to the hospital and luckily fine. This was obviously traumatic for everyone but especially my boyfriend. He was initially angry after realizing I was going to be ok. He loves me a lot but I think this has just really messed him up. I am obviously not going to do drugs again but any advice on fixing my relationship would be great. I'm one of the digital mentors here and I give advice to those who reach out. I'm sorry to hear about the accidental overdose. What was that like for you? With your relationship, I noticed that you asked for advice on how to fix it, and I'm wondering, why do you feel it needs fixing? Is it actually broken, or is it just that your boyfriend is emotional about what happened?
