Ditch the Label Staff Blondie Posted July 19 Ditch the Label Staff Share Posted July 19 Hi all, I thought I’d check in to see how you are all doing, and as the school holidays are approaching for lots of people - what are your plans for the summer? Any holidays / vacations booked? Summer camp? Visiting family that you don’t get to see as often? Chilling, gaming, seeing friends? I’d love to hear. (Don’t forget that we're still here as usual in case you need support). I tend to hang around the outsides :) ) I did a really awesome theater camp at the start of the summer, which was awesome - I feel like I did so much!!! I've been working for my aunt and uncle for the last two (three?) weeks on their flower farm. It's been crazy hot, and I got heat sickness this morning, but I'm all good now. My cousin had a birthday, too. The rest of the summer has consisted of my volunteering. I'm not telling you where, as that would make me a lot easier to find irl, but it is a tourist destination/attraction (like a fair, or a museum, or a zoo, or something). Your theatre camp sounds amazing and I'm glad you really enjoyed it. Have you had any theatre experience before you joined the camp? Do you think that's something you'll want to do again? The work you are doing at your aunt and uncle's farm sounds pretty intense. Are you enjoying it or does it mainly feel like hard labour? I can understand why you got heat sickness though. Working outside in the heat is really tough and can be pretty dangerous. Please make sure you take good care of yourself. You really have had a busy summer if you have been volunteering as well . How have you been enjoying that experience? I used to volunteer in a riding school for disabled people and I really enjoyed it. I feel like I learnt a lot during that time.
