AncientHistoryBook
I'm only out to my stepmom, and she lives in a different country. I want to come out to my aunt but I don't know if I should. She's super cool, the kind of person everybody likes for so many reasons. She's currently in a relationship with a woman. I know she'll understand and be supportive of me, but still. I never really talk to her much since she doesn't attend many family gatherings as she's busy, and I want to get to know her better, but I don't want it to feel like I'm just talking to her to get advice and use her. What should I do? MultiQuote
Remi
Hey Ancient History Book, It's really cool that you and your step-mom have such a close relationship. From the sounds of it, your aunt sounds like an awesome lady. Remember if she is dating a woman it’s highly likely that she had to come out already. I’m sure she would not feel like you were using her. I imagine she would feel honoured that you came to her for advice and support. Could you message her on social media and just ask her how she was getting on? Then ask her if you could ask her a question about sexuality and see how she responds. I’m sure she would love to help you, let me know what you decide to do! -Remi -Remi Edited January 14, 2019 by Remi MultiQuote Quote This Digital Mentor Account is no longer active. AncientHistoryBook
I told her last night, and I'm so glad I did. Like you said, she is already out and the first thing she said was that she was honoured that I told her. She just accepted it and supported it straight away, and didn't ask any questions about if I was sure or how I knew. MultiQuote
