My advice would be to make yourself at home and know that this is a safe, judgement-free space. You're always free to be yourself here!

What advice would you give to new members? ⬇️

that whatever your going through, never be to afraid to ask for help. No issue is too β€˜little’ or too β€˜big to ask for help. Every1 deserves support and whatever you are dealing with, DTL mentors and staff and of course community members can support you.Β

My one piece of advice would be to actively engage and participate in the community. DTL is a supportive and inclusive space where you can connect with others who have similar experiences and challenges. By engaging in discussions, sharing your thoughts, and offering support to others, you not only contribute to the community but also create opportunities for personal growth and learning, and ofcourse the team is there if you need that 1-1. Don't hesitate to reach out for help or advice if needed, as the community is here to support and uplift each other.Β

I’d say, don’t be afraid of your goals. If you have a specific goal you want to achieve, but it seems impossible, it can usually be broken up into smaller steps with the help of our wonderful mentors :).whether it be practicing gratitude or making new friends, the awesome DTL team can help make what seems impossible super achievable at a pace that’s comfortable and right for you, so don’t be scared to ask, especially because our community is excited to meet you and support you wherever you’re at in your journey <3

  • No one is going to get mad at you for posting in the wrong forum or anything like that
  • Feel free to start posting in places like games and work up to posting about yourself and problemsΒ
  • read through the community guidelines and just remember that if you are planning on breaking them, it’s best to consider what you’re leaving behind
  • Enter a post without judgement. Lots of us are here, so there is a wide range of experiences here, which makes for a wide range of topicsΒ
  • Don’t feel like you owe anything to anyone. Don’t be afraid to be honest when advice just isn’t helpful
  • We are all at different stages of healing from different and similar things. Don’t compare yourself to other here.Β

Be kind and open-minded. Don't be afraid to reach out on confidential support. Make friends :)
