How to say thisΒ

Β Can you still be atracted or curious about both sexes when you feel emotionally numbΒ

Am I a Hypocrite when I keep teling my selfΒ  I aint attracted to both sexes only the opposite sex

Been straight my whole life but been trough some shit that can give you a brain circuit shortage meld down were you question thingsΒ  Β i have a feeling im wrong but you can't realy deny that butterfly feeling well pastense dont really feel it so much but its still thereΒ

So any ideas or am i just going delusional

Btw not looking for relationshipΒ  im still sane to understand im not stable and not my selff so any adviseΒ Β

Heyy @Rolo,Β Yes, it is possible to feel attracted or curious about both sexes when experiencing emotional numbness. You are not being hypocritical for telling yourself that you are only attracted to the opposite sex, as it is common for individuals to struggle with their sexual orientation and identity. It is understandable that you are questioning things due to difficult experiences you have gone through. It is important to remember that our emotions and attractions can be complex and fluid, and it is okay to explore and discover what feels right for you. It may be helpful to talk to a therapist or a trusted friend or family member about your feelings and concerns. They can offer support and guidance as you navigate your emotions and identity. How does this all sound to you?

Friends evreyone feel homophobic

Parents has beliefs which I agree in a sense meaning all of it. And dont want to even touch the topic of beliefs and religion because thene im just going in to go insaneΒ

And i just can't date because I have no social skills I don't socialize with people much and I don't go out really I'm still active but there's no emotional attachment to what I'm doing [ hobbies] .

Been hurt and Betrayed allot so no point of really socialising.

Β

It sounds like you are in a difficult situation where you feel isolated and unsupported. It can be challenging to deal with friends and family members who hold homophobic beliefs, but it is important to remember that their beliefs do not define you or your worth as a person. You are entitled to love and be attracted to whomever you choose, regardless of other people's opinions. Does this resonate with you?Β

As for your lack of social skills and emotional attachment to your hobbies, it may be helpful to seek out therapy or perhaps the counsellor at school on developing these skills and building connections with others. Therapy can also help you process past hurts and betrayals and develop coping strategies for moving forward. It is okay to take things one step at a time and focus on small goals to improve your social skills and emotional wellbeing. I want to check though, is this something that is accessible for you?Β

You are not alone @Rolo, here to support you the best I can.Β

Yes, there are several LGBTQI+ dating apps that are designed specifically for young people. Here are a few options:

  • Yubo - This app is designed for teenagers aged 13-25 and allows users to connect with people who share similar interests and hobbies
  • Taimi - This app is for LGBTQI+ people of all ages, but it has a strong focus on safety and security for younger users
  • Zoe - This app is designed for queer women and has a strong focus on creating a supportive community for young LGBTQI+ people
  • OkCupid - This app is open to people of all sexual orientations and has a comprehensive profile system that allows users to share a lot of information about themselves
  • HER - This app is designed for LGBTQI+ women and has a strong focus on building a community and providing resources and support for users

I do want to highlight though that it's important to remember that while dating apps can be a great way to connect with others from the community, it's always important to prioritize your safety and well-being. Be sure to take precautions when meeting people in person and trust your instincts if something doesn't feel right.

Heyy @Rolo, these are just suggestions as you had asked about them. You do not have to sign up on any of these apps, or apps at all whilst you're figuring things about for yourself. No pressure in any way.

I'm sorry to hear that you don't have the support of friends, family, or a therapist at the moment, and that you feel like coming out about your sexuality and your struggles with it could lead to alienation or disaster. It's understandable to feel scared or unsure about discussing these issues with people who may not be accepting or understanding. It's definitely tough when people close to you, like your parents, may not understand or validate your feelings of burnout or other struggles. I do want to say though that it's important to remember that your feelings are valid even if everyone else does not agree or understand it.Β Btw, If you don't feel comfortable coming out to your parents or others in your life, that's completely okay. It's important to prioritize your own wellbeing and safety, always. Has being on this community been helpful to you in anyway with other members and mentors?Β

I do want to remind you that it might seem lonely, but you are not alone, and that there we are here to help you.
