We are currently testing status updates and profile comments

Hi all,

We have recently invited a small group of members to help us test profile status updates and public profile commenting. We are exploring as to whether or not this feature would work well on the community and after testing for a few weeks will then decide as to whether or not we'd like to implement. If you have access to the test, you will receive a DM with more information. If you haven't got access to this tool yet, don't worry :)

An update on status updates:

We have disabled this functionality for now. This is largely because status updates seem to bypass some of our AI moderation technology and it's also adding pressure on our Digital Mentors and Moderators to review statuses on top of all other content. We know how much you all enjoyed statuses and took that into consideration. If we can find a way to bring them back in the near future, we will do. Thanks for helping us test this feature!
