justsomerandomalien
hi, my name is Justin. I am 17 soon to be 18 this year. Since I was little, I already know that I am gay but I have been scared of telling the truth to my family because they are very religious and really against the LGBT Community so I hid my sexuality until now. I told my father because this is the only time I have the guts to tell him. I have been wanting to tell them for a long time. He told me that I am forcing myself to be bisexual and I am going to suffer in the future. My father is a great guy but he is a narrowed minded individual. He took my phone and told me to stay in the room. I am in need of friend to talk to and I think my heart is really suppressing right now, I do not know what to do next. I might be kicked out from home. PS. I am Asian and I am not really great in english MultiQuote

Monsoon
Hello @justsomerandomalien Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm one of the digital mentors here at Ditch the Label and I give advice and support to those who come to us. You can talk to us. We are here for you and you are not alone. I'm sorry to hear that your father has not reacted well to you coming out. This does happen to some people, sadly, and it can be really tough. However, as time goes on, we usually find that the parents come round to the news out of pure love for their child. This can take a while though and lots of patience from the person who has come out. Have you seen our guide here? You might find it helpful: https://www.ditchthelabel.org/my-parents-didnt-react-well-to-me-coming-out/ Can I ask, do you feel like you might be in danger at the moment? By danger, I mean at risk of someone abusing you, or perhaps getting kicked out as you say? If you do get kicked out, do you have somewhere else you could go for a while? Stay safe. We are here for you every step of the way. MultiQuote
