I heard that Bowie used to do this when trying to get inspiration to write new songs: he'd write down all sots of random words, sometimes copied from a page in a book or newspaper then cut them all up and rearrange randomly and see what sentences they formed...it worked for him MultiQuote Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Feel all of your senses and your writing should have real texture. What is your book about, is there anything you could watch or somewhere you could visit that would help you feel more insprired? Rengove Posted November 21, 2019 Share Posted November 21, 2019 When I need an inspiration I travel, this is a best thing that can ever happen in life in my opinion. I feel not ok right now and just booked a ticket to go to Italy and stay in this property in Sicily for 3 days. I will just walk around the town, enjoy local food, maybe meet some new friends.
