I can imagine it must feel strange for you. It might be something you will eventually get used to, but I completely get that it might not feel natural to you at the moment. Is there something you can do for yourself to distract yourself from the boot? Hopefully you'll soon get used to it! I would imagine a boot might be easier to handle than a cast - can you take it off eg when you're having a shower? Can you think of anything the boot might be helpful for? For example is it a good excuse to not have to do something you don't want to do?
