I’ve been in a psych hospital for the last 11 months, the ward is locked and very restrictive on what we are allowed to have. I’ve spent 7 months on a 1 to 1 or 2 to 1, meaning someone watched me all the time. 2 years ago I was completely independent, lived on my own, went to uni, drove, now I’m sat around all day just wasting the days away. I can’t wait to be out of here. But I have a horrible feeling that I’m not going to make it to the end of my admission. The urges are always there, I just need the means, which I’ll have access to over the next few weeks.

I remember the peace and its drawing me in again.

It sounds like you've had a really big change in your life, and I can imagine that being watched all the time is pretty exhausting. How is that for you? 

Also, can you tell me more about why you feel like you're not going to make it to the end of your admission? What is going on there?
