Am I too feminine to be a boy?

Recommended Posts

Heyy everyone, I'm writting this so I can gather some opinions since I don't have anyone near me who's a part of LGBTQ+ community or an ally, so if you could answer this it would be great. I have been thinking for a while about my gender identity, and one that has come to my mind is that I might identify as a boy (still not sure tho) but I feel like I'm a bit too feminine for it, or maybe I'm just not used to it. I really don't like to hang out with boys, I actually never even met boys that are actually nice so maybe that's the problem. I'm also really lazy when it comes to sports, with exceptions (I would love to do fencing but I can't). I wouldn't say my style is just more masculine cuz I do like skirts and dresses but I do prefer a suit or pants. So what do you guys think, am I too feminine to actually be a boy or are the stereotypes getting inside my head???

SO WHAT IF YOURE FEM ME TOO!

Shrug yourself away from the stereotypes and just be you!

Dont worry about what society thinks a guy should or shouldn't be.

The idea that boys cant wear skirts and dresses is absurd

I happen to know a few guys who have worn skirts and look hella fine. Maybe not in a OMG I fancy em way but in a complimentary way.

You

Be

You.

That's how I started

I told my mum the first time and it didn't work out (still hasnt)

My friends know though so that's great

I also think my mom won't like it at first but I hope with time she accepts it, and I do think my friends would be fine with it they don't seem like the type to judge except for my classmates, it's full of boys but the bad type so I hope when I go to university I meet some nicer boys too

Yeah that should be fine

Glad you updated your pronouns tho. That's a step in the right direction.

How old were you,may I ask, when you first found out you were this way?

For insight it was last year for me.

I found out I was bisexual already some time ago, but never though I would be trans cuz I don't really have body dysphoria, at least I think, but I always prefered being a boy, like when I was a kid I would always play as a boy so maybe I already knew but didn't realize it, I only started to really think about it last year too so I was 16 kinda.

I relate to you on such a level!

Maybe we are twins who knows 😅 I never got the chance to talk to someone that felt the same way I do, and now I finally found someone.

"You don't need dysphoria to be trans. You only need Euphoria when you are in the proper genre expression" I don't know i'm quoting, but I hear this quote a lot!

also, "If  you aren't sure if you are faking it, you aren't. People who fake it, know they are faking it."  I'll say OneTopi on youtube said it, because he does say it often! (He's a the greatest Ally I see on youtube!)
