Feeling scared about going out in a car.

I am wriiting this because as I have already said I was in a crash this morning and now whenever I go out in a car I have started to hold on to the door handle as tight as humanly possible because I am now scared that I will be involved in another car crash but the very first time I was involved in a car crash, this did not happen so I don't understand why it is happening now but I think it is because when I was first involved in a car crash, the car was hit from behind and not side on like today and I was only about 5 when I was first involved in a car crash.

That sounds so scary! It's completely understandable it will leave you feeling nervous and this should gradually fade. I think that as you are now older, you understand how serious these things can be whereas at 5, we are dependent on others so will generally feel safer that there are adults around to protect us. It's still early days so try and be patient with yourself while you process this.
