I'm sorry that it's been stressful for you, and I can really see why from what you've said. I know that it's hard to find the energy to get through it when you're feeling like this, but I know you can do it. It's completely normal to go through ups and downs, and it's so easy to become demotivated and feel like you're failing when you're going back into that dark space. However, you will get out of it, and it might be good to just accept how you're feeling for now and let it be rather than push it away. What do you think might work best for you?

Yeah, I totally get how ignoring it works somewhat. I think that although the ignoring works more in the short term, it can then make those feelings more intense in the long term. When we have a challenging feeling, if we ignore it, it has to go somewhere else, and usually bubbles under the surface. What do you think?

Some people find it helpful to journal their thoughts and feelings. Why don't you take a look at these articles here and let me know what you think?

yeah i did look at them but idk i reallt don’t have the energy to do anything only sleep all day but the thing about that is if i do it i’ll start it and forget about it so it probably won’t do much to me and writing my feelings down never really helped me and i don’t know why 😕

Hey Abigail,

How are you feeling today? I hope you're a little bit better, but it's also okay not to be okay as well. Also, it's totally fine that writing your feelings down doesn't really help because there are plenty of other things out there to try - different things work for different people. I'm wondering, what things have helped to cheer you up in the past?

i’m doing eh ig but things that cheer me up is hanging out with my best friend but the thing is they life 2 hours away so it’s hard to hang out all the time we only see each other every 5 months if your lucky 😕

Ah, yeah. that's tricky with them living so far away. I'm wondering, could you plan to see them again so you have something to look forward to? Also, could you maybe have a FaceTime call with them to cheer you up? 🙂

Also, that's a shame you feel like you had no energy today, but it's totally normal to have days like that and I guess it's your body's way of telling you that you need to take it easy. What did you get up to today?

Hey @Abigail18 I'm one of the support mentors - hope you don't mind me jumping in while Monsoon is on leave. 🙂 

Gilmore Girls is a great choice! - It's the kind of programme that you can just comfortably sink into and watch again! I really like swimming but have to make myself actually swim as otherwise I tend to just float about  aimlessly as it's sooo relaxing just chilling in the water. Did everything go okay with the friends you went with?
