can a mom be a bully

well i'm not your average skinny girl i'm not and my mom remained me of that all the time

but she always says you should be confident with who you are which is nice but she still says hurtful things like today she saw a girl that i know and she said she's so skinny and whatever and i said yeah she is then she said that she was thinking of how this girl is skinny and her daughter is not i was so shocked that i didn't react i just went to my room she always says stuff like that like look she's so skinny and whatever but never said this specific sentence and this sentence really hurt me i don't know what to do so help?

I'm so sorry your Mom said that, no it's not okay for anyone to put us down. Your Mom is probably projecting her own insecurities about weight onto you, society has conditioned us like this.
