(Posting to a different section because I got no responses) So I am AFAB, trans and non-binary, and I have decided that in the future I will get top surgery and start dressing more androgynous/masculine. There’s just a few obstacles. First of all, my parents are transphobic, and I live in the same house as them, and probably will for a couple more years. I’m kinda scared of medically transitioning while living in the same house with them. Even when I do leave the house, I have this constant fear that one day, while I’m busy living my life, my parents will ask to see me again and I’ll have no response. I don’t hate my parents to the point where I’d disown them (even if they’re LGBTQ-phobic). Secondly, because of my gender, being genderfluid, my chest dysphoria fluctuates, making me question whether I should really get top surgery or not. I have considered other surgeries like vocal coaching and non-surgical options and I am undecided on them. Even figuring out what my new full name should be is hard. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Hey guys! You can call me Orion or Rye. I am afluix (afluidflux) and cassgenderfluid. Now, a bit of an explanation: Afluix means that my sexuality is very broad, spanning across the ace, aro and allo spectrum. This means I can be an oriented aroace, then an m-spec gay, then a aro pansexual, then a homoromantic ace, and the list goes on. Yes it is technically abrosexuality but I hate the label. Cassgenderfluid is a combination of cassgender (not caring about your gender), genderflux (how much I care about it changes, I didn't include flux in the label for various reasons), and genderfluid (the gender changes, though it tends to stay in the non-binary umbrella) Anyway thanks for reading! Have a nice day!

Hi there, I’m new to the site but I’ve been reading posts for a while and decided to make an account and hopefully receive some advice for my own problem! I’m a 24 year old bisexual male - probably say I’m 75% gay and 25% straight. I’m not out, although a couple of friends know and are supportive. I think it’s all fun and games to date guys now and not chase after women, but I think I don’t want to end up with a guy when I’m older. I also don’t want to be alone either. So that leaves me with the only option of finding a woman I’m attracted to and trying to make a marriage and family work with her, even though I think my heart will never be 100% in it. Is this the right thing to do? Is it fair to the woman or even fair to myself? I just don’t want to be an outcast for my whole life so if there is even a slim chance of being able to live a straight forward life shouldn’t I go for it? I thought I would have figured this out by now but I feel like I’m just getting more stressed as I get older. Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

Hello! Im pretty old member of LGBT+ community (since i was 10) and I’ve only just started wondering if i might be aromantic. I just want to maybe get some stories how someone who identifies as aromantic figured it out for themselves. For me, a sign that maybe im aromantic, is that im not really good with emotions in relationships. Thinking back, after awhile i started treating my partners more as best friends than someone im supposed to be romantic with. I could see them being annoyed by that but i didn’t know how to change that. I still don’t. I want to feel romantic feelings but the closest I’ve came to of that type is what i create in my head. I love the person i create in my mind even if i know they’re not like that in real life. I love some traits of the person who im maybe seeing in somewhat flirty way but the other traits just ruin it for me. I’m pretty flirty with a lot of friends but when they express any type of serious romantic attraction i get scared. I don’t know where it comes from. If there’s any aromantic people here, could i get some kind of a little `how did you find out you’re aromantic`

I'm thinking about coming out of the closet as Pan and Trans male, any tips? I'm scared that everyone might tease me or think I'm joking or just hate me.

In year 6 the word gay was taboo, it was whispered like it was dirty, a naughty word that should not be repeated. It didn't help that our teacher taught us nothing about sexuality, I thought that something was wrong with me every time I stared at that one girl in my class. I was finally in the popular crowd though, after moving schools and being bullied, I was finally one of those girls that everyone wishes to be. I wasn't bad looking and I was often told of guys that liked me, which was very flattering, especially when you're at a young age. At the end of year 6 one of my 'friends' was pestering me so much about who did I have a crush on that I just randomly blurted out the name of a guy in our class. Now looking back at my class photo I can see he wasn't year 6 fantasy material. Still to this day, 4 years later, I am teased. It's funny though, I laugh about it with my friends. If you would like to hear more stories about my realisation that I am indeed not straight, comment and I will post one tomorrow night about year 7.

I’ve never used this site before, so apologies if I’m doing this wrong lol. I’m really questioning my sexuality right now, and I have been seriously for a few months. I had wondered if I might be gay before, but only really because I hadn’t been able to connect with a male, and honestly just had found them kind of repulsive (no offence!). But I met this girl and I knew straight away that she was cool and I wanted to be friends with her. After seeing her a few times again it quickly turned into a fully obsessive crush. She’s amazing and I was so confused and scared at first, but now after doing a lot of thinking, I’m almost sure I’m not straight, and I don’t dislike the idea. But I still have a lot of problems to consider, like the fact she most likely doesn’t see me that way.

Hello!! My name is Jadon, I am 13 (nearly 14), gay, and headed to High School. Currently single, have never dated a boy but I have asked multiple guys out. One being straight (and would later on proceed to grope one of my friends boobs) and the other just didn't want a relationship (he was bisexual). I've had no luck in guys but I'm hoping it gets better in High School. I saw a bunch of possibly gay guys at registration so I'm just hoping for the best. I am out to all of my friends and family. By family. I mean the people I live with including my sisters (the little one is 7 so I'm probably gonna have to tell her again when she actually knows what gay means) and my parents. Right now, the most supportive person in my family is my big sister. She's 21 and has been the only one to address my sexuality in a good way. However my parents are a different story. My Dad is straight up homophobic. He says he doesn't care but I know deep down he hates it. He once yelled at me because I was posting selfies with the caption "Happy Pride!!!". He said stuff like "nobody cares about Pride" and "Nobody needs to know". "Stop acting all proud if you haven't told everyone". "There's nothing to be proud about". That's all stuff he's said to me. My Mom is slightly homophobic but she's still supportive. If I had to put my family on a scale based on homophobia, left being super homophobic and right being super supportive, my Dad would be on the left. My big sister would be on the right but not fully. She'd still be somewhat towards the left, and my Mom would be somewhere in the middle. I'm looking to tell my Grandmother but I don't know if she's homophobic. I think she is though because we were having a conversation about trans people and she kept saying stuff about how trans women aren't real women. So I already know she's transphobic but I'm not sure if she's homophobic or not. Anyways, that's me and that's my life so far. Thank you for your time and have a good day!!

Hey! my name is Nathan! i’m a closeted gay guy from a very homophobic country in asia and my parents are very homophobic and very conservative. being gay is not really a thing here and it’s seen as a “sickness”. i love buying cute and feminime outfits online and hide it somewhere in my room because i don’t want my family to see them. i always get judged by my own family because of how i look and how i talk, and basically my whole appearance. once i dyed it my hair red, my mom forced me to dye it black or she’s gonna cut my hair off and so i dyed it black. and once i bought a colorful accessories she threw them out to the garbage because she said she hated me looking like a “girl”. and she forces me a lot to act “normal” or “masculine” and she basically hates everything i do. my siblings aren’t very accepting and they always call me with the F slur and they’re also embarrassed to be related to me. i always cry everyday and i’m mentally abuse. i can’t take it anymore and i always plan to runaway but i’m only 16. i don’t feel safe here anyone please help me.
