Sad girl

I'm new to writing a blog but here goes nothing

This girl at school is meant to be my friend but she doesn't act like it.  She insults me everyday and calls me horrible names like control freak and manipulative.  She says nasty comments about me behind my back and she tries to make my friends turn against me.  Recently she has said that and I quote "she's better of dead than anything".   I want her to stay away from me  but she'll never leave me alone.  This has gone on for a year now and I'm feeling sad all the time.

Hi @Blue22031 that sounds really horrible and not how friends should make us feel and you deserve to be treated well and with respect. Have you ever spoken to her about the way she treats you? And do your other friends notice this and realise what she's doing? We're here for you and we'll find a way forward.

Hi Blondie,

Yes I have talked to her about how she treats me but she doesn't care and my other friends have noticed the way she treats me and they have tried to help me in the situation but nothing changed.

It might be time to speak to someone at school about this, especially as it's being going on for so long now - how comfortable are you in doing this?

There could be things going on for her that you're unaware of and she might get some help this way. What do you think?

I've already talked to a teacher and they said to just ignore her. Also if something bad is going on in her life why do I have to deal with her nastiness? I'm not the one who's being mean or whatever in her life

Hi Blue22031,

You're right, you shouldn't have to deal with her nastiness just because something bad is going on in her life. I think Blondie means that if a teacher listens to you and that leads to support for the person being mean to you then it could make her leave you alone. So, her getting help is not your job but it might help you out.

It sucks that you have to put effort into getting a teacher to listen to you, but I think it is worth trying until a teacher finally does listen and help you.

This is straight up bullying and you need to go to your guidance counselor and explain what is happening.  THIS NEEDS TO STOP.   If the guidance counselor will not take action, go higher.  Maybe the principal.   I really feel it would be extremely helpful to let your parents know what is going on.  Some teachers are better than others in dealing with this.  But unless adult intervention occurs, this may continue or get worse.  I am glad you are reaching out to get help with this problem...someone needs to listen and do something.  You should not have to deal with this alone.
